Kia Ora, I am Diana Harrison.
I am married to Alan. We have three adult children and eight grandchildren. I have been teaching at Phoenix for over 20 years now, and still love the daily challenge of teaching and learning, it keeps me young and fit!
During my time at Phoenix Preschool, all of my eight grandchildren have been, or are, Phoenix tamariki, which has been a very special time for me, and also my family.
My special area of interest is Early Intervention. I completed a post graduate diploma of Special Education in 2012. This knowledge leads my practice, by providing learning opportunities through movement to foster brain development for foundational learning skills.
I enjoy watching tamariki thrive and flourish in our large outdoor playground, and supportive learning environment where partnerships with whānau are key to our tamariki success.
In my spare time, I am on a couple of committees in our local community and enjoy spending time with our grandchildren.
